Preliminaries

To use SW-Lookup®, you need

• at least one full licence for the Smallworld® GIS. Currently, the GIS versions 3.0 and 3.1 are supported. Support for Versions 3.2 and 4.0 is coming soon, support for former versions may be provided upon request.
• A data model with geographic data to be made available through SW-Lookup®
• A working TCP-IP data connection between the PeerServers and the dispatcher host on one side and the dispatcher host and the front-end workstations on the other side. Most often, this will be your intranet.
• An industry standard browser capable of displaying HTML with tables, image maps and (optional) Javascript.

SW-Lookup® is completely independent of your data model. It will not change or add a single bit in/to your database (unless you want to update data via SW-Lookup®, see below)
