SW-Lookup® - the product!

Come and get aquainted to our product SW-Lookup®!

SW Lookup® is the simple and inexpensive alternative for all Smallworld® customers who want to extend their existing Smallworld® installation by the access over a Web Browser - without

  • complex server installation and
  • complicated operation procedures.

The SW-Lookup® solution is as easy to use as an Internet search engine - your Smallworld data base actually becomes some kind of search engine for the Intranet (or also the Internet, if you want that).

SW-Lookup® overview

Do you also belong to the enterprises, whose GIS department operates an excellent Smallworld® GIS system, which consumes a lot of expenses and contains numerous valuable data?

Is that GIS department also unknown to the majority of your company?

And does that bother you also?

Then SW-Lookup® should be the right solution for you!

The challenge

Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are a complicated matter by nature - this specifically applies to the operation of these systems by the users, which usually need a lot of knowledge. Which user outside the GIS department has time to spare to deal with things like topology, database structure, manifolds, view and display scales etc? Who wants to spend days in training courses just to aquire information from the GIS from time to time?

The solution

What about using the GIS as simple as an Internet search engine? Almost everyone knows how to search the net by Altavista or Lycos or whatever, so this would open the GIS world for everyone!

SW-Lookup® offers this possibility to you, with a minimum of administration effort.
