About the creation of these pages...

As mentioned before, friendlyGIS® works with modern technology, e. g. XML

The pages you see have been generated from exactly four XML files. This has some advantages, like

• Maintainability - by reducing file count and generate the unique layout, it is possible to maintain these pages with relative ease.
• Unique look & feel - due to automatic generation, the pages all look the same and the contents part is generated automatically.
• Slimness - did you already suffer from that kind of monster pages created by "just click to build your homepage" tools? - I guess you did. The friendlyGIS® pages can be viewed on every system with nearly every simple browser, fast and efficiently.

But I know that this technique is outdated, since I also deal with WEB application development (Grails, .NET) - but I don't feel like renting an extra Server to bring these pages to this modern techniques. I think it would not be worth the effort.
