"Smallworld® & Co" - communicating with Smallworld®
These are projects that deal with communication between the GIS and the outer world. Often I used ACPs for data transfer and XML for data structuring.
- Conception and development of a central fibre view (switching and physical links for telecommunications), with own database and communication via message queues for a large German telcom company. I have been general enterpriser in cooperation with ioensis in Barcelona.
- Responsibility for the conception and development of a fast, flexible EIS interface for NRM, mainly to be used to talk with SAP NetWeaver.
- Conception and development of an interface to a generic DMS (document management system) via Java ACP
- Conception and development of a bidirectional, completely configurable interface to replicate GIS objects in an ORACLE database, to achieve transparend access
to data in Smallworld® and web applications. This allows completely new views on the data an the use of GIS data is remarkably increased. The main focus is servicing and maintenance, and the combination of GIS and external sources like GoogleEarth.
